The Małopolska Celebrations of the “100th Anniversary of World War I” has been realised since 2014 based on the following three themes: “The Polish Road to Independence” (Kraków), “The Battle of the Polish Soldier” (Limanowa, Olkusz, and Tarnów Districts), and the “Battle of Gorlice” (Gorlice District).
The Małopolska Celebrations also cover additional events (educational, cultural, and art projects) referring to the anniversary organised by local government entities, non-governmental organisations, cultural institutions, and educational establishments cooperating with the Małopolska Institute of Culture.
The Małopolska Institute of Culture is the coordinator of the Małopolska Celebrations realised under the initiative of the Małopolska Voivodeship.
